2. What Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly

• Account information: Name, email address, and password when you sign up
• Profile information: Location, ZIP code, bio, and profile photo (optional)
• Task information: Task titles, descriptions, budgets, and locations you post
• Payment information: Billing details processed through Stripe (we do not store card numbers)
• Communications: Messages, bid proposals, and support requests

Information Collected Automatically

• Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, time and date of access
• Device information: Device type and operating system
• Cookies: Session cookies for authentication and optional analytics cookies (see Section 5)

Information from Third Parties

• If you sign in via Google or another OAuth provider, we receive your name and email from that provider
• Payment processors (Stripe) may share transaction status and fraud signals with us

We use your information only for legitimate business purposes:

• To operate and provide the AnyTasks platform services
• To process payments and manage escrow transactions
• To match task posters with workers

With Other Users

When you post a task, your display name and task details are visible to potential workers. When you submit a bid, your name and proposal are visible to the task poster. Your email address is never shared with other users.

With Service Providers

• Stripe: Payment processing and fraud prevention
• Hosting providers: Server infrastructure only; bound by confidentiality agreements
• Analytics tools: Aggregate, anonymized usage data only

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of AnyTasks, our users, or the public.

Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred. We will notify affected users via email before data is transferred to a new entity under a different privacy policy.

5. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies to make the platform work and to understand how it's used:

• Essential cookies: Required for login sessions and security. Cannot be disabled.
• Analytics cookies: Help us understand traffic patterns (anonymized). You can opt out.

We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. You can manage cookie settings in your browser at any time.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Specifically:

• Active accounts: Data retained while account is open
• Deleted accounts: Personal data deleted within 30 days of deletion request, except where legally required to retain
• Transaction records: Retained for 7 years for accounting and legal compliance
• Log data: Retained for 90 days, then purged

7. Security

We take security seriously and implement industry-standard protections:

9. Children's Privacy

AnyTasks.io is not directed to children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a minor has registered, please contact us at support@anytasks.io.

10. Policy Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy on this page with a new "last updated" date. For material changes, we will notify registered users via email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of AnyTasks.io after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
